ATTENTION Members:
FISIF will not be acting to cancel any of our current members’ coverages for payment issues for the next month.
We encourage any business that is able to continue making their premium payments to continue doing so. We recognize that the Restaurant/Bar industry, as well as hotels and certain others have been forced to streamline or cease operations that would have allowed them to remain in business. Accordingly, we will allow all currently active coverages to remain active, with reduced or delayed premium payments, until future developments help define what other actions become necessary and/or government information indicates how long these restrictions will apply. We encourage any member business that has closed their doors for business to allow this workers’ compensation coverage to continue until April 30, 2020.
Additionally, as workers have been temporarily/permanently released, we encourage business owners to begin tracking the impact on the originally estimated payroll dollars for 2020 and to provide our office with updated estimates, so that we could recalculate new estimated annual premiums and reduce the amount of premiums that will be due.
We will also consider options for extending the installments, in efforts to help spread out the payments over a longer period of time.
